God has loved you since before you were even born and He has been relentlessly drawing you to Himself—wooing and calling you into a personal relationship. He is not far off and distant, but rather loving, kind, good, and present. He desires that you don’t just know about Him, but that you intimately know Him for yourself.
Deuteronomy 4:29 says, “But if from there you seek the LORD your God, you will find him if you seek him with all your heart and with all your soul.”
God is standing with His arms open wide, ready to welcome, and receive you. You need only turn and seek Him, and surely you will find Him ready to embrace you. You will find rest and refreshment for your weary soul.
Psalm 36:5 describes God’s endless, immeasurable love, “Your love, LORD, reaches to the heavens, your faithfulness to the skies.”
I encourage you to take a step outside and gaze up, cast your eyes to the heavens. I hope you notice that no matter how hard you squint or try, you’ll never be able to see the furthest boundaries of the skies. They go on and on beyond our imagination—there are galaxies beyond the heavens that will never even be discovered. And just as the heavens are boundless, so is the love and faithfulness of God. No matter what your experience with love has been before, God’s love surpasses it all.
Romans 8:39 reminds us that, “Neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
There is nowhere that you can run that God’s love will not follow. His love will pursue you to the ends of the earth.
Notice the tiny figure at the center of the photograph. Even here the Lord's love will find us.
This picture was taken in the Wadi Rum desert of Jordan. This is the land where the Israelites wandered for forty long years. Even here, God showered His people with boundless love; He watched over them, provided for their needs, protected them from the elements, and guided them with His Presence in pillars of fire and cloud. God's love follows, pursues, engages, and goes with His children.
