Consider God

Psalm 33:13-15, "From heaven the Lord looks down and sees all mankind; from his dwelling place he watches all who live on earth—he who forms the hearts of all, who considers everything they do."

It is truly remarkable and quite hard to fathom that the God of the universe cares so deeply about you and me. Scripture says that the Lord reigns from Heaven above and all of creation declares His glory and majesty. Yet He is close to every one of us—nothing escapes His notice or care. He hears our grievances, sees our struggles, feels our pain; He celebrates our joys and rejoices in our victories.

Let’s praise Him for His kindness and thank Him for every blessing. Let’s come to Him in prayer and share the weight of our burdens. He invites us to cast our cares upon Him and walk with Him in freedom. His shoulders are much bigger than ours; His arms are better equipped for carrying heavy loads. He is always ready to embrace us as well!

God considers us.

We must also consider Him:

Recounting God’s character is essential in building our faith.

Reflecting on His promises instills hope.

Walking in His ways brings about peace.

Living as He lives is a life full of love.

Lord, You alone are on the Throne—King of kings, our Sovereign Creator. You are holy and just; righteous and true; loving and kind; good and pure. You are merciful and mighty. You convict and save; You judge and purge. My heart is Your home. Heaven and earth are Your dwelling place. You are my everlasting hope. Amen.

  • As you consider God right now, what comes to mind?
