Walk Worthy

This morning as I continued with my study of the book of Colossians the Lord brought some matters to my mind:

There are times when I feel distracted and focused on too many things at once. I feel the desire to stretch my time and fit in too much, and in the process, I miss the moment I am meant to be present in. The verses from my study today reminded me to not toil or spin, best rest in the Lord and have faith. The Lord laid the following prayer on my heart, and I thought I would share it just in case this wrestling resonates with you.

Lord, You are sovereign over every detail of my life—every single moment, every hour, every day, and every bit of my future forever. Help me to set my life according to the rhythm and timing that You have purposed for me. Help me to live with my heart set on You and walk worthy in the fullness of Your peace. Help me to focus my mind on You and be fully present in every encounter and situation. Help me to prioritize my time according to Your schedule and trust that You will equip me to get done the things that need to get done and enable me to let go of the things that can wait. Lord, Your ways are perfect, Help me to wait upon You as I press on toward my hope-filled Destination.

Amen.
